Allen Rothermel started as Village Administrator on July 6, 2015 after retiring from the City of Delaware in 2014. Allen served as Assistant City Manager in Delaware from 2004 to 2014. Prior to that Allen served as Assistant City Manager and City Manager of Fairborn, Ohio for seventeen years.
Experience & Background
Allen brings a wealth of human relations, budgeting, development and municipal government operations experience to the Village, as Sunbury prepares to become a City pending the results of the upcoming 2020 Census. Allen received his Bachelors’ degrees in Finance and Public Administration from Miami University and a Master in Public Administration degree from New York University. Allen is a long time member of Rotary International, currently serving as Secretary of the Sunbury-Galena Club and will receive his 35 year membership award from the International City Management Association (ICMA) in September of 2018.
